Warren County R-III School Board welcomes new members

The Warren County R-III School Board welcomed two new members and realigned its leadership during its monthly meeting in April.Incoming members Franci Schwartz and Rodger Tucker were sworn in, along with returning incumbent Laurie Wenzel. The three emerged from a candidate pool of six during the April 4 election the prior week.Two veterans of the board were recognized after deciding to not run for another term. Outgoing President Teresa Scott served three terms, while member John Todd served one three-year term.“We’re extremely grateful for the service these two have provided and wish them the best moving forward,” Superintendent Jim Chandler said.As for the realignment, former Vice President John Clinger was promoted to the role of president, while Wenzel was voted in as the new vice president.Ginger Schenk was named secretary, and Allan Dreyer was selected as treasurer.The Missouri State Board of Education representative roles went to Schwartz and Tucker in the lead and alternate positions.Each of the new leadership roles passed by a 5-0 vote. Dreyer was absent from the meeting.
