The Warren County R-III School Board recently approved three contracts at their May 8 meeting.
Concrete and Asphalt Repairs:
The school board approved a bid from Mid River Asphalt to do various concrete and asphalt repairs on school grounds. R-III accepted the bid for a total of $153,447.56. They also received bids from E. Meier Contracting ($155,878.99) and Ford Asphalt Company ($171,000).
Summer School SRO:
The school board approved a contract with the city of Warrenton to provide school resource officer (SRO) services for summer school. R-III and the city will split the costs 50/50. The Warrenton Police Department will assign one full-time law enforcement officer for summer school. This individual will rotate among Warrenton High School, Black Hawk Middle School, Warrior Ridge Elementary and Alpha Academy.
Lewis-Bade Surveying Contract:
The school board approved a contract with Lewis-Bade to survey the track and baseball field in order to develop a plan to help with the water drainage. District officials stated there have been issues with water running off the track and onto home plate. This contract will allow Lewis-Bade to survey what needs to be done to combat this issue and find a solution. There is not a concrete price estimation but the contract could cost up to $15,000.
