At the end of each year, residents of Warren County send in their property tax payments to be divided among area schools, emergency services and government agencies.
Months before that, each of these political entities must approve their tax rates for the year and submit those rates to the Warren County government for collection. Below are the tax rates for 2018 in each major taxing district.
The tax rates listed are for both real estate and personal property (with one exception, which is noted below).
Property tax rates are per $100 of assessed property valuation. The property valuation is assessed by the Warren County Assessor’s Office.
State taxes
General — $0.03
S.B. 40 (disability services) — $0.1603
Warren County
The county government’s tax rate for general expenses is up slightly, while taxes for road and bridge work remains the same as last year.

The city of Foristell does not have a property tax.
Warren County R-III School District
Warren County School District’s tax rates for operational funds and debt payments are both somewhat higher than 2017.

Wright City R-II School District
The tax rate for the school district's operating revenue is up by $0.0319. The district held down taxes to pay for debt service, keeping it the same as last year.

School District of Washington
The tax rate for the school district’s general funding — what it calls “incidental” funds — is the same as last year, and so is the tax rate that goes toward the district’s debt payments. The tax rate for capital projects went up by about 1 cent per $100 valuation.
