Bailey Schnieder, an agricultural education, communication and leadership major was named Outstanding Sophomore at CAFNR’s 2025 Celebration of Excellence awards ceremony on April 17.
Schneider, who is also completing a minor in agribusiness management, is extremely active in CAFNR organizations. She is a member of the Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority, the Mizzou National Agri-Marketing Association, the Mizzou Collegiate Farm Bureau, CAFNR Ambassadors and the CAFNR Student Council, where she serves as CAFNR Week co-chair.
Schneider currently works on campus as an administrative assistant in the CAFNR Academic Programs Office and will serve as the Missouri Soybean Association Policy intern this summer.
“Bailey has always kept an open mind when learning about new ideas in the classroom,” said Shayne White, assistant teaching professor of agricultural science communication. “She has shown respect and encouragement to her peers no matter the learning environment, and takes every opportunity she can to network with industry leaders. I cannot think of a more deserving individual for this honor than Bailey.”
