Warren County marks Public Health Week

Warren County officials have proclaimed April 3-9 as Public Health Week to shine a spotlight on public health professionals and programs.“Public health professionals help communities prevent, prepare for, withstand, and recover from the impact of a full range of health threats” and “have played a major role in reducing and in some cases eliminating the spread of infectious disease,” the proclamation reads.County commissioners gathered with health department employees and community members at Ready, Set... Fit! in Warrenton March 30 to officially recognize Public Health Week.The proclamation encourages area communities to prioritize public health by promoting healthy housing, parks, playgrounds and routes for walking and biking.
