Warren County judge Michael S. Wright, of Warrenton, was appointed to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District it was announced Sept. 22.
The appointment was made by Gov. Mike Parson and announced via press release.
Wright is currently an associate circuit judge. He has a bachelor of science in business adniministration from the Univeristy of Missouri and a juris doctor from Washburn University.
He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Sherri B. Sullivan.
Wright has been an associate judge for the 12th Circuit Court since 2014. He previously servied as the Warren County prosecuting attorney from 1991 until 2014.
His current term expires in 2024.
The announcement did not specify a timeline for replacing Wright.
