An inmate in the Warren County Jail is facing a criminal charge for allegedly assaulting another inmate on Sept. 9, 2025.
According to a probable cause affidavit submitted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy was able to obtain video footage that showed Michael Knight Jr, 49, of Wright City, assaulting another inmate at the jail.
According to the affidavit, Knight struck the other inmate on the left side of his face after having words. The two individuals begin fighting and Knight can be seen striking the other inmate several times in the head and abdomen.
Knight was charged with assault in the third degree for the altercation.
