On July 31, the Warren County Health Department partnered with The Care Service to host a school supply giveaway for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Supplies were given through donations and volunteers helped put the event together. Sixty families signed up for the school supply giveaway. In the giveaway, each kid received a backpack with supplies inside that catered to their grade. Supplies ranged from spiral notebooks, loose leaf paper, markers, pencils, fidget spinners and more. Below, Selena and Sofia Malta, choose which backpacks they wanted between the two of them. Sofia chose the navy blue backpack, while Serena happily picked the Hello Kitty pink one.
There will be an additional back to school event held by Faith Christian Church in Warrenton this weekend for families in need from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
