The Warren County Commission has approved the 2025 tax rate for the county, following a public hearing held on the morning of Sept. 11.
There was no public comment or discussion at the hearing and the only individuals in attendance outside of the commissioners and County Clerk Denise Stotler were representatives for a portion of the meeting relating to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
The commissioners approved a general revenue rate of $0.0369 per $100 of assessed value and a roads and bridges rate of $0.1615 per $100 of assessed value.
These add up to a total tax rate from the county of $0.1984 per $100 of assessed value, representing a flat rate from the previous year.
Even without a change to the tax rate, revenues will still see an increase as the county’s valuation increases in 2025, especially in real estate. The county’s total valuation rose by almost $140 million settling at $937,701,904 million in total.
Over $117 million of that increase came in real estate values, with the rest being $23 million in personal property increases.
With the rate approved and expected valuations settled, the county currently plans to bring in $1,860,400 in total tax revenues in 2025, with $346,012 in general revenue and $1,514,388 going towards roads and bridges.
