Warren County college students recognized for academic achievements

Central Methodist University

Central Methodist University celebrated its winter 2024 commencement on Dec. 7 in Puckett Fieldhouse on the Fayette Campus. Former board of trustees member James Kimbell gave the commencement address as a packed house of family, friends, faculty, staff and other guests celebrated the graduates. Students were recognized for earning degrees at the masters, bachelors and associates levels. 

Students from Warren County graduating included Kayleen Bagby, of Warrenton, with a bachelors of science in education, Brennan Logan, of Wright City, with a bachelors of science in education and Hailey Shanuel, also of Warrenton, with a bachelor of science in Nursing. 

University of North Georgia

Tyler Fehl, of Wright City, was recognized on the 2024 fall Dean’s List at the University of North Georgia for achieving at least a 3.5 grade point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than a B. 

Missouri Valley College

Missouri Valley College athletic teams this fall produced 56 Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athletes. Honorees from five different teams had a residential grade point average of 3.5 or higher. 

Alexandrea Sutter, of Wright City, was among those selected. Sutter plays on the women’s soccer team and is studying English.
