The Warren County Collector’s office holds its annual delinquent tax sale in less than one month on Monday, Aug. 22.Per Warren County Collector Julie Schaumberg, changes to the tax sale now require taxpayers with two or more years delinquent to pay all years past due taxes to remove their parcel from the sale.Of the original 782 properties that were two or more years delinquent as of March 1, 2016, 50 percent remain unpaid.Property owners have until 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, to pay all their delinquent real estate taxes and prevent their property from being sold. The only accepted form of payment at this time is cash, cashier’s check or recently issued money order.“I’m sure as it gets closer to Aug. 19, it will get more hectic,” Schaumberg said.A listing of properties can be found in Section D of this issue of The Warren County Record. A few of these properties may no longer be available for sale as the taxes were recently paid.People also can visit the collector’s page at warrencountymo.org and click on 2016 Sale Properties for an updated version of this tax sale listing.Additionally, people also may inquire at the collector’s office in the administration building at 101 Mockingbird Lane, Warrenton, or call 636-456-3330.Tax Sale
