Warren County 4-H held their annual Judging and Achievement event on Monday, April 20, at College United Methodist Church in Warrenton. Dozens of members, aged five to 18, participated in achievement, public speaking and judging activities as part of the event.

Achievement and public speaking activities give 4‑H members the opportunity to showcase what they have learned and set personal goals. By preparing for these events, youth gain a strong work ethic, learn time management and take pride in their accomplishments.

Judging classes are an important part of the 4‑H experience because they teach youth how to think critically and make decisions. When members evaluate animal or project classes, they learn to compare options, defend their choices, and speak confidently in front of others. These skills carry over into school, careers, and everyday life by helping youth communicate clearly and think logically.

Together, these activities help kids grow into capable, confident young adults. They encourage learning by doing, build resilience through practice and feedback, and give youth valuable experiences that shape their leadership and life skills for the future.

Warren County 4-H would like to thank College United Methodist Church for welcoming us, Cornerstone and Count Line 4-H clubs for serving as hosts of the event and all of the volunteers who made the evening possible.
