A warrant has been issued for a suspect charged with the death of an infant in 2015. A charge of second-degree murder was issued Wednesday against Charles A. Holiday, 25, Warrenton.The three-month-old child was pronounced deceased June 12, 2015, after being taken to St. Joseph Hospital by emergency responders. According to Warrenton police, hospital staff reported signs of injury to the infant’s head consistent with abuse. An autopsy revealed extensive trauma from at least three blunt force injuries.The day of the death, Holiday was the sole person caring for the infant at his home on Cordova Court in Warrenton, police said. The child’s mother later arrived and noticed something was wrong.During interviews with law enforcement officers, Holiday allegedly made inconsistent statements about important details of what happened.He now faces a Class A felony charge, and could be sentenced to up to 30 years in prison or a life sentence if he is convicted.Crime
