With the strong threat of blizzard-like conditions, two warming stations are expected to be open for residents needing shelter. The exact time of when the shelters will be open has not yet been determined. The facilities will be located at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 700 South St., Truesdale, and Immanuel United Church of Christ, 141 W.N. Service Road, Wright City. A Blizzard Warning has been issued for Warren County from 6 a.m. Tuesday through noon Wednesday. The county is expected to be hit with 8 to 12 inches of snow by 6 p.m. Tuesday with 12 to 20 inches to fall through Wednesday. Winds are expected to be 20-30 mph with gusts up to 40-45 mph. Anyone requiring non-emergency assistance can contact the county's emergency operations center, located at the Warrenton Fire House No. 2 on South Highway 47, at 636-456-2208. The emergency center will be open 24 hours a day until the storm passes and assistance is no longer required. 911 should still be called for all emergency situations.
