Want to run in the April 2024 election? Candidate applications are now available

Posted

Warren County residents still have time to pick up an application to run for office during the April 2024 municipal election.

Multiple mayoral, aldermen, school board, and other positions in Warrenton, Wright City, Truesdale, Marthasville, and Innsbrook will be up for election when voters head to the polls on April 2.

Each board has its own requirements and filing fee.

Applications must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. Dec. 26. To be eligible to vote in the April election, residents must be registered no later than March 6.

Those currently holding office in Warren County have encouraged residents to run for office.

“One of the reasons why I got started was because I noticed a change needed to be made in the seat that I’m sitting in, and that’s why I stepped up and that’s to be a voice for the people,” Wright City Alderman Don Andrews said. “So if somebody’s not happy with what we’re doing, the one way you change that is by running and stepping up to make that change.”

“It’s an experience that will shape your vision of where you want to live,” Wright City Mayor Michelle Heiliger said.
