Makayla Witthaus' single with two outs in extra innings lifted Warrenton to another district title.
Witthaus singled in eighth inning to give Warrenton a 2-1 win over Parkway North in the Class 4, District 4 championship. Kiera Daniel reached base with one out in the inning. After advancing from first to third base on a wild pitch, Daniel scored the winning run on Witthaus' single.
Warrenton grabbed the lead in the fifth inning on Kylie Witthaus' RBI single. Parkway North tied the game with a run in the seventh inning.
Kylie Witthaus earned the win for Warrenton. She pitched all eight innings.
Warrenton will face Incarnate Word in the state quarterfinals Oct. 19.
