The Warren County Clerk reminds residents to consider their voting eligibility ahead of the April 4 municipal elections.People should make sure they are registered to vote and also consider absentee voting requirements should it be necessary, officials said.The deadline for residents to register to vote to be eligible to vote in the Tuesday, April 4, election is Wednesday, March 8.Warren County residents who are not registered voters can register at the county clerk’s office at the administration building, 101 Mockingbird Lane, Suite 302, Warrenton, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Registered voters who have changed their addresses also must update their registrations.Information on voter registration can be obtained by calling the county clerk’s office at 636-456-3331.Voters at the polling places on Election Day will be asked to supply identification before being able to cast their vote.Absentee ballots may be cast in the office of County Clerk Barbara Daly for the April 4 election.Registered voters who will be absent from the county, illness or physical disability, caretakers of those incapacitated or confined due to illness or disability, religious belief or practice, employment as an election authority, incarceration, provided all qualifications for voting are retained, may cast absentee ballots in the clerk’s office.Absentee ballots may be cast between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 1.Absentee ballots will be mailed upon written requests received no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 29.When requesting an absentee ballot by mail, the request must be in writing, signed and must state the individual’s name, registered address, reason for requesting an absentee ballot, and the address to which the ballot is to be mailed.Registered voters who registered by mail and are voting for the first time, must send a photocopy of their identification along with the request for an absentee ballot.Information on absentee ballots may be obtained by calling the county clerk’s office at 636-456-3331.Election
