Voter registration deadline approaches

Posted

March 10, 2021 is the deadline for residents to register to vote to be eligible to vote Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

Warren County residents who are not registered voters can register at the County Clerk’s office, at the Administration Building, 101 Mockingbird Lane, Ste 302, Warrenton, MO 63383, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Once registered, here’s how you can vote:

• Option 1: Present one of the following forms of valid ID: Driver’s License – Non-driver license – Passport – Military ID – Voter registration card – ID from a Missouri university, college, vocational or technical school – Utility bill – Bank statement – Government check – Paycheck – Other government document showing your name and address.

• Option 2: If you are registered but have no ID, vote a provisional ballot. There are two ways your vote counts: If your signature matches the signature in the voter registry, your vote counts. If you come back to your polling place and show a photo ID, your vote counts.

Registered voters who have changed their addresses must also update their registrations. Information on voter registration can be obtained by calling the County Clerk’s office at 636-456-3331.

If you want a photo ID to vote and don’t have one, the Missouri Secretary of State’s Office will help you obtain one non-driver license for free. You may call the ShowIt2Vote Hotline toll free at 866-868-3245 or email ShowIt2Vote@sos.mo.gov for help.
