Voter registration deadline approaches

Posted

July 8 is the deadline to register to vote in the Aug. 4 elections.

Warren County residents who are not registered voters can register at the County Clerk’s Office, in the Warren County Administration Building, 101 Mockingbird Lane, Warrenton, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Once registered, here’s how you can vote:

Option 1: Present a valid form of ID, such as a driver license, passport, military ID, voter registration card, paycheck, utility bill, or other document showing your name and address.

Option 2: If you are registered to vote but have no ID, vote a provisional ballot. Your vote will count if your signature matches the signature in the voter registry, or if you return with a valid ID.

Registered voters who have changed their addresses must also update their registrations.

Information on voter registration can be obtained by calling the County Clerk’s Office at 636-456-3331.

If you want a photo ID to vote and don’t have one, the Missouri Secretary of State’s Office will help you obtain one non-driver license for free. You may call the ShowIt2Vote Hotline toll free at 866-868-3245 or email ShowIt2Vote@sos.mo.gov for help.
