Actor Seth Rogen appeared on Capitol Hill Wednesday to testify before a Senate subcommittee on Alzheimer's research. But before telling the serious story of his mother-in-law's struggles with the disease, he managed to work in a few jokes about his film Knocked Up and reputation as a stoner."Thank you for the opportunity to testify today and for the opportunity to be called an expert in something, because that's cool," Rogen began. "I don't know if you know who I am. You told me you never saw Knocked Up chairman, which is a little insulting.""I want the record to note this is the first time, I will wager, this is the first time in any congressional hearing in history that the words 'knocked up' have ever been spoken," Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) responded, evoking Rogen's signature laugh.
