The Special Olympics torch run started in Diekroeger Park in Wright City about 10:20 a.m. May 26. Law enforcement and Special Olympics athletes ran from the park down Veteran's Memorial Parkway to Gastorf Chevrolet for a quick break. Runners then picked back up, heading down Spoede Road to Booneslick before turning on Market Street and ending at the Warrenton City Annex on Walton Street.
