America's Heartland Stadium made its debut Friday night, Aug. 29, when the first varsity football game was held at the new Wright City High School.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at halftime of the season opener between the Wildcats and the Warrenton Warriors where members of AFG and the school district celebrated the debut of the new stadium.
American Food Group, which opened a meat-packing facility earlier this year in Warren County, pledged $2 million in support of the construction of the high school stadium. The stadium is definitely an upgrade, featuring an artificial turf field, cool lighting effects and a digital scoreboard.
