Authorities have identified the person killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday on Interstate 70 near Foristell, as well as seven other people who were injured.Santos Rivera Ayala De Dolmo, 51, of Los Angeles, was pronounced dead at the scene after the vehicle he was in crossed the interstate median into the opposite lanes of traffic and was struck.De Dolmo was a passenger in a Honda Civic, which was carrying six other people, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Nadeira Dolmo Rivera, 23, and Yadisa Cano, 21, both of Kansas City, and Oneyda Rivera Ayala, 35, of West palm Beach, Fla., all had serious injuries. Three children in the vehicle, ages 1, 3, and 5, had injuries ranging from minor to serious. The children were not wearing seat belts.Warrenton resident Karla S. Hilke, 41, was the driver of the other vehicle and was seriously injured.According to a preliminary report from the highway patrol, the driver of the Civic, Nadeira Rivera, fell asleep while driving, causing the vehicle to travel through the cable barriers into the eastbound traffic lanes. The Chevrolet Malibu driven by Hilke struck the right side of the Civic.Multiple emergency response agencies from St. Charles and Warren counties responded to the scene.
