Motorists driving on Highway 47 near the Missouri River bridge are urged to remain alert for heavy equipment moving in that area. Large trucks continue to deliver and unload materials for the construction of the new river bridge adjacent to the existing span.Drivers should obey the 40 mph speed zone in the work zone for their own safety and the safety of workers in the construction zone.A MoDOT spokesperson noted that trucks will be moving in that area between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.That may require crews to briefly stop traffic on the Warren County side of the river to allow trucks to pull on and off the roadway.MoDOT
