USDA Rural Development Missouri Housing Program Director Pam Anglin, on behalf of State Director Janie Dunning, last week recognized Brookview Management, Inc., the management company of Brookview Apartments of Wright City, and Brookview Senior Apartments of Wright City. Certificates were presented to Brookview Management, Inc. and to Lisa Sherman, their new site manager for these complexes, to recognize their outstanding spirit of cooperation and the excellent job they have done with the complexes. “Brookview Management, Inc. has a clear understanding of the connection between housing and the strength of a community. They have taken an aggressive attitude in providing affordable, quality housing. The collaboration between Brookview Management, Ms. Sherman, and the community is a clear example of what it takes to make complexes successful,” Dunning stated. Brookview Management, Inc. hired Sherman in May 2011 as the site manager for both Brookview Apartments of Wright City and Brookview Senior Apartments of Wright City. By selecting a site manager with a background in compliance, Brookview Management, Inc. took a proactive step in ensuring the complexes would receive the attention required to meet regulatory requirements and residents’ needs. Sherman, with encouragement and support from Brookview Management, Inc., has become more acquainted with the local community, established a marketing approach so the community is more aware of what the two complexes offer, consistently enforced rules and regulations, developed a great working relationship with local law enforcement and established on-site police patrols, increased building maintenance, improved vacant units, and drastically reduced the number of vacant units. The Rural Rental Housing Program is intended to provide eligible tenants economically designed and constructed rental housing and related facilities suited to their living requirements in rural areas. For the Rural Rental Housing Program, rural area is defined as communities with a population of less than 20,000. Direct (Section 515) and guaranteed (Section 538) loans are offered through the Rural Rental Housing Program.
