UPDATE: Surveillance images released of Warrenton bank robbery suspect

Updated information:At 2:52 p.m. today, police released surveillance images of the bank robber. The suspect is believed to be a 45- to 50-year-old white male, approximately 5-foot-8 and weighing 135 pounds.Anyone with information on the robbery can contact the Warrenton Police Department at 636-456-7088.Here is the previous story:Warrenton police continue to search for a suspect who robbed American Bank in Warrenton Tuesday morning.The subject fled on foot and was last seen walking in the area of Dairy Queen, located west of the bank on the North Service Road. The robbery was reported at 10:31 a.m.Police Chief Greg Houdyshell said a white male entered the bank and displayed a note demanding cash from a teller. The suspect implied he had a weapon, though none was flourished, Houdyshell reported.The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and left on foot around the west side of the bank building. No bank employees were injured.The suspect is described as a 45-year-old white male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds.Police said he was wearing a maroon stocking cap, dark puffy coat, blue jeans and white shoes.Anyone with information on the robbery can contact the Warrenton Police Department at 636-456-7088.In the past 44 months, 10 banks in the area have been robbed, eight of which are located in Warren County. Suspects were arrested in each of the bank robberies with the exception of a Aug. 1, 2013, heist at First Bank in Warrenton.The American Bank branch was robbed May 27, 2011. The suspect, Jerry B. Chambers, of St. Louis, was arrested six days later.
