UPDATE: Serious injury after crash on Highway 47

Update:One driver was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 47 in Warrenton Thursday. Jacob D. Carr, 35, Warrenton, was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis. The 2002 Ford Escort he was driving collided with a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee going the opposite direction, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.A preliminary report indicates Carr was heading south on Highway 47 around 2:30 p.m. when the Escort he was driving crossed the center line and struck the rear left side of the Jeep.The driver of the Jeep, Karl K. Kallenbach, 57, Warrenton, was reported to have minor injuries. He was taken by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital Washington.Original story:Two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision on North Highway 47 just before 3 p.m. Thursday.At least one patient was transported from the scene by Warren County Ambulance, and Highway 47 was shut down just north of Aldi. Law enforcement redirected traffic down Arlington Way while the crashed vehicles were cleared.Information about injuries from the crash was not immediately available.
