Authorities have released the name of the pedestrian who was struck by a train and killed early Wednesday morning.The man was identified as 46-year-old David A. Miller, of Warrenton, the Missouri State Highway reported. According to the preliminary crash report, Miller was laying on the railroad tracks when he was struck by an eastbound Norfolk-Southern train at 4:29 a.m. Wednesday.More details released at 11:30 a.m. WednesdayA white male was struck and killed by a train Wednesday morning east of Wright City.The man, believed to be around 50 years old, was walking on the railroad tracks in the area of South Stringtown Road in Wright City when he was struck, Warren County Sheriff Kevin Harrison reported.An investigation is underway to determine why the man was walking in the area. A preliminary identification of the body has been made, Harrison said, but a name won’t be released until a confirmation can be made and family is notified.The body was discovered around 5:20 a.m. Wednesday morning. Harrison said operators of a train coming through the area stopped when they saw a body lying next to the tracks.
