A Kansas City man who police say randomly shot at motorists along Interstate 70 Wednesday night is facing numerous felony charges stemming from a multi-county chase that injured two people.One motorist was shot and approximately six vehicles were hit by gunfire during the Warren County portion of the police pursuit Wednesday. The chase ended in St. Ann, near Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.On Thursday, Warren County Prosecuting Attorney Kelly King charged 22-year-old Reginald D. Adams with 12 felonies, including six counts for first-degree assault, five counts for unlawful use of a weapon and one count for discharging a weapon from a motor-vehicle.Adams also was charged in St. Louis County with nine felonies, including assault of a law enforcement officer. Charges are pending in St. Charles County.Authorities said Adams pulled up alongside other eastbound motorists and would fire shots through his passenger window.The St. Ann police chief said Adams told authorities that he “snapped” because of a girlfriend. The motorist was traveling with family on eastbound Interstate 70 west of Warrenton when hit by a bullet. The extent of the person's injuries are unknown.
A second motorist was shot in St. Charles County, near Wentzville Parkway, and had serious injuries.
The male suspect was taken in custody near Lambert International Airport.
