A Union man was charged with possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop June 7, 2025.
According to a probable cause statement filed by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy was patrolling near Marthasville Elementary June 7, 2025 around 3:02 a.m. when he observed a vehicle on Highway D without a rear license plate light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Christopher Vollmer of Union. The deputy asked Vollmer to step out of the vehicle. The deputy conducted a pat down of Vollmer and found a clear plastic bag with a white crystalline substance. The deputy also located 185 grams of a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana. The white substance tested positive for methamphetamine.
A notice of court hearing was sent to Vollmer May 27 for a June 30 court date.
