Five people were transported to the hospital, including two Wright City teens, in a two-vehicle crash in St. Louis County Friday night.
The crash was reported at 9:53 p.m. at 12300 S. Outer Forty Drive. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old driver from Home Glen, Ill., was driving southbound in the northbound lanes and a second vehicle steered in an attempt to avoid a collision. The first vehicle steered to the right, striking the front of the second vehicle.
The Wright City teens, both 18, had serious and moderate injuries. All injured occupants were transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis. The patrol said all were wearing seat belts.
