Fresh off its first winning season in years, the Warrenton boys basketball team had multiple players earn postseason recognition.

Two players were named to the Gateway Athletic Conference North Division team, led by senior guard Troy Anderson who was selected to the first team. He was also named the Player of the Year in the Class 5, District 4 team.

A Truman State signee, Anderson was one of the top scorers in the St. Louis area with 17.4 points a game. He made 168 of 363 attempts (46.3%) from the field, including 46-129 (35.7%) from beyond the arc. He also was second on the team with 5.6 rebounds and led the Warriors in assists (3.72), steals (1.10) and blocks (1.03).

Goldsmith earned a second-team nod. He was second on the Warriors with 11.6 points and had a team-high 5.9 rebounds. He also averaged 1.36 assists and 1.32 steals.

Warrenton sophomore Deadrick Forrest received the GAC North sportsmanship award.

Five players were recognized for their work in the classroom. Sophomore Elijah Peth, junior Evan Schenck, Anderson, Goldsmith and Forrest were named to the GAC North academic team.
