T.J. Lafaver — Senior earned first-team recognition despite missing four games with an injury. He averaged a team-best 13.3 points and 4.2 assists as the facilitator of the Warriors’ offense. He was also responsible for 2.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals per contest. Lafaver was recognized as the team’s most valuable player this season. He was also selected as the MVP of the Clopton Tournament after scoring 28 points to lead the Warriors to the title. “He was a great leader for us, and we really missed his leadership and scoring during his injury,” said Coach Trevor Hibbs. “It didn’t matter if we were winning or losing, he was always giving 100 percent. His athleticism helped us a lot.” Matt Schneider — Senior was named to the second team after scoring 9.6 points and collecting a team-best 8.8 rebounds. He shot a team-high 54 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free-throw line. Schneider posted season highs with 23 points against Bowling Green and 21 rebounds against Clopton during the Montgomery County Tournament. “He was our best rebounder, and it was important for us to keep him out of foul trouble,” said Hibbs. “He had some big individual games and had a lot of responsibility inside for us. He was also really reliable at the free-throw line.” Additional team rewards were recently announced. Senior Jacob Lanham was named sixth man, while sophomore Craig Vardiman was recognized as most improved. Honors for best three-point shooter went to junior Ron Richardson.

Warrenton senior T.J. Lafaver was named to the All-GAC first team after averaging 13.3 points per game. Senior Matt Schneider was also honored as a second-team choice.
