A father and son team helped nab two juveniles who attempted to rob the Warrenton Kroger's on Friday evening. Warrenton Police Chief Greg Houdyshell said two juveniles were in the checkout line when they began threatening a store clerk and demanding money. He said one of the suspects threatened he had a gun. At the spur of the moment, Derrick Moreau and his son helped tackle the suspects. Police arrived soon after. The juveniles, identified as a 16-year-old and 15-year-old males, were taken into custody and are lodged in a juvenile detention center, Houdyshell said. No gun was located. Houdyshell said Moreau, his son, and two of the store's employees who helped subdue the suspects should be considered heroes. For more on this story, see Thursday's Record.
