Two men from Warren County were hospitalized June 26 after their motorcycles collided on a rural roadway and left them both with serious injuries.
Scott D. Engelhard, 26, and Kevin R. Kiser, 55, both from the Wright City area, were driving Honda motorcycles northbound on Prairie Road, north of Highway W, when the crash occurred around 1:45 p.m., according to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol.
Crash investigators report that the motorcycle driven by Engelhard struck the rear of Kiser’s motorcycle, and both drivers were ejected by the impact. Both of them were wearing helmets according to the highway patrol. Investigators did not say what may have caused the collision.
Engelhard was airlifted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, while Kiser was driven by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia, the patrol reported.
