A Wright City man and Lake St. Louis woman were charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop Wednesday, Jan. 21.
According to a probable cause statement filed by the Wright City Police Department, officers received a notification of a vehicle operated by Craig Joseph Dorman of Wright City passed a FLOCK camera. Dorman was known to have a warrant out of St. Charles County.
Officers then conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on westbound Interstate 70 near mile marker 196.8.
According to the affidavit, after Dorman was arrested, the passenger Kelley Reneay Foust of Lake St. Louis switched to the driver seat and one of the officers observed a small baggy containing numerous white pills on the passenger seat of the vehicle. The pulls turned out to be acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate.
Following a search of the vehicle a large plastic baggy containing a white crystal substance consistent with methamphetamine was located under the front passenger seat. The substance weighed 4.25 ounces, according to the affidavit. Officers also found $909 in cash.
Both individuals are in the custody of the Warren County jail on no bond.
