Warrenton police say two people helped an 18-year-old man inject heroin, then waited more than six hours to call 911 after he overdosed in April 2017.Brian M. Bove, 29, Warrenton, and Cassey R. Austin, 27, Wright City, are charged with delivery of a controlled substance. Warrants were issued for their arrest Jan. 23. The warrants come with a $10,000 bond each.According to Warrenton police, officers responded to the drug overdose at America’s Best Value Inn on Arlington Way the morning of April 15, 2017. The unresponsive teen was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis with an unknown chance of survival.Bove reportedly told police he did not know why the teen had become unresponsive. Bove is a relative of the teen, police said.The teen eventually recovered and was interviewed by police. He reportedly told police that Bove had provided heroin, and that Austin helped inject it into the teen’s arm.Police allege that when the teen became unresponsive, Bove sent messages to another person around 3 a.m. asking what to do. Bove called 911 at 9:33 a.m.Medical documentation showed the teen sustained a brain injury from the overdose, according to the police.Crime
