Two people with serious injuries were flown to a hospital after a crash on Highway U Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Cole Merglemeyer, 19, of Marthasville, and Robin L. Rothermich, 55, of Warrenton, were identified as the drivers in the crash.
The crash happened about 7 miles south of Warrenton at around 5:20 p.m., according to a Missouri Highway Patrol crash report. A 2005 Chevy Silverado, driven by Merglemeyer, allegedly crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2018 Jeep Sahara, driven by Rothermich.
Rothermich was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, but Cole was not, the highway patrol said. They were both taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
