Turning Point Domestic and Sexual Violence Emergency Shelter and Services will host a benefit evening of entertainment Friday, Dec. 2.The 90-minute show will be held at St. Peters Cultural Arts Center in St. Peters.The event will feature Missouri-born jazz pianist Pat Coil and his trio. Coil has been playing and teaching jazz piano in Nashville for many years. He travels with Michael MacDonald, is a studio musician and composer.He’ll be joined by Steve Houghton on drums and Bob Bowman on bass, both of Kansas City.St. Louis’ Big Muddy Dance Company will perform at the top of the evening. BMDCo is a contemporary dance troupe with a strong sense of community. Besides performing on stage during their season, they dance at 30 senior living homes to enhance the lives of the residents. They also teach all levels of dance.Jim Henry is a special guest vocalist, and big band Director Jim Widner will emcee the program.Tickets are $25 general admission and $50 for premium seating and an invitation to a champagne and dessert after party with the performers. People can purchase tickets at merrylittleevening.bpt.me.Turning Point fundraises for approximately 18 percent of the annual budget. All proceeds from this event go directly to support the mission to protect and stabilize the lives of vulnerable women and children.Turning Point serves Franklin, Gasconade, Montgomery, Warren and western St. Charles counties.A Merry Little Evening
