The ballot for next Tuesday’s municipal election in Warren County will feature races for seats on the Warrenton Board of Aldermen, the Wright City Board of Aldermen, the Village of Innsbrook Board of Trustees and the Wright City R-II School Board. Candidates for the Washington School Board and two ballot proposals for the Washington School District also will be on some ballots in southern Warren County. Marthasville Elementary is part of the Washington School District. Despite a variety of races and ballot measures, County Clerk Barb Daly, the county’s chief election official, is not expecting a high voter turnout. Daly estimated a voter turnout of no more than 15 percent. Here is a list of races on the ballot: Warrenton — Ward 1 Alderman, Ward 2 Alderman and Ward 3 Alderman; Wright City — Ward 1 Alderman and Ward 2 Alderman; Village of Innsbrook — Two seats on the Board of Trustees; and Wright City R-II School Board — Two seats. Voters in Marthasville and Truesdale will vote on candidates for mayor and alderman, but those individuals are unopposed for their seats. There also are two candidates for seats on the Board of Trustees in the Village of Pendleton. Three seats are on the ballot. The local use tax proposal also will be submitted to voters throughout the county, and the city of Warrenton has an annexation proposal on the ballot. Polls will open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Polling Sites Combined Two Warren County voting precincts will be combined for Tuesday’s election, according to Daly. Voters in the Concord Hill Precinct and the Hopewell Precinct will cast ballots at American Legion Post 180 off Highway 47 north of Marthasville. Daly stated that the two precincts will be combined in anticipation of the low voter turnout, the limited number of items on the ballot and the costs associated with running the election. Letters were mailed to voters in those precincts notifying them of the change, which will only be made for this election, Daly noted.
