A Truxton man was recently charged with trafficking drugs following an incident Oct. 7, 2025.
According to a probable cause statement filed by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy was on routine patrol in the area of State Highway W and North Service Road when he observed a 2007 Ford Edge failing to maintain its lane. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway W near the intersection of Palmyra Road. The deputy located a clear plastic bag containing 30.18 grams of methamphetamine and 11 unidentified capsules. The passenger, identified as Jeremiah Briones, admitted he concealed the drugs inside the door handle trim where they were located.
A no-bond warrant was issued for Briones’ arrest April 7.
