The city of Truesdale is preparing to repave almost 1,700 square yards of concrete along Smith Street, according to City Administrator MaryLou Rainwater.The city’s board of aldermen Aug. 9 approved a $151,700 bid from T.S. Banze Construction, Foristell, to rebuild roadway, curbs and storm sewer from Bolm Lane to Laura Street.Rainwater said the anticipated cost of the project was $200,000, so she was very happy T.S. Banze’s bid came in so far below that estimate.The city also is paying $25,000 to Cochran for engineering the project, Rainwater said.Construction will begin after city officials have a pre-construction meeting with T.S. Banze, and all property owners along the street will be given an updated construction schedule, Rainwater said.T.S. Banze submitted the lowest out of five bids for the project.The full list of bidders and their approximate bids were:• T.S.
