Truesdale police say the passenger of a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation Aug. 2 was carrying multiple bags of suspected methamphetamine, one of which was wrapped in $450 cash.Estel L. Bequette, 42, of St. Charles, was in a vehicle that was pulled over for license plate violations, police said.A search of Bequette’s person revealed a black plastic case containing multiple bags of a crystal substance, along with the cash wrapped around another bag, police said. The substance field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine, according to a police report.When an officer stated that Bequette had meth in his pocket, the man allegedly replied, “So what.”During a search of the vehicle Bequette was in, police located pipes and other possible drug paraphernalia, along with two digital scales and plastic containers carrying the same crystal substance.All told, about 15 grams of suspected meth was collected from the search.Truesdale police said Bequette had multiple felony warrants related to narcotics violations and resisting arrest.Drug Arrest
