A Truesdale man was charged with first degree drug trafficking or attempted drug trafficking on April 11, according to a probable cause statement filed by Truesdale Police Sergeant John Kelly.
According to the probable cause statement, Kelly had already been informed that Shannon Free, 55, of Truesdale, was in the area of Conrad Circle and Laura Street. He noted Free had several active warrants. He had previously been charged with first-degree harassment and violation of a protection order.
Kelly had been advised Free was in a blue Nissan Rogue and pulled over the vehicle, finding him in the passenger seat.
When he searched Free’s person he found two bags of a crystalline substance he suspected to be methamphetamine.
Free admitted the substance was methamphetamine and when weighed Kelly reported he had a total of 50 grams.
A warrant was issued for Free’s arrest and he is to be held without bond.
