The Truesdale Board of Aldermen approved appointments and contracts with city officials for fiscal year 2026 at their June 25 meeting.

The appointments were approved with a flurry of resolutions at the meeting including positions like the city clerk/manager, police chief and city attorney.

Also approved at the meeting were several year-long agreements the city makes with other government entities in the county.

Contracts were approved for City Clerk Elsa Smith-Fernandez to continue serving in her role for $72,000 as well as Police Chief Casey Doyle at $33 an hour and City Attorney Amber Bargen for $25,000.

The city also approved several year-long agreements with other government entities and companies the city works with.

This included two contracts with the Warren County R-III School District for services at Rebecca Boone Elementary in Truesdale.

The city provides three crossing guards near the school for the beginning and end of school days as well as a School Resource Officer at the elementary school.

The city pays 66% of the salary for the crossing guards which Smith-Fernandez expected to cost roughly $10,000 although that number was subject to change. She said they may need to hire an additional crossing guard with the Boone Ridge Manor subdivision being built across the street from the school.

The city pays half of the salary and benefits for the School Resource Officer and invoices the city of Warrenton monthly based on those costs, which are not concrete.

They also approved a contract with Main Street Computers in Warrenton for IT services for $12,000 with the city and finally an agreement with the Service and Supply Cooperative in Bellflower as a propane provider for $500.
