The Truesdale Board of Aldermen unanimously approved several ordinances covering a wide variety of items including subdivisions, police equipment and snow emergency procedures during their meeting Dec. 10.
Bills numbered 48-2025, 52-2025 and 53-2025 dealt with ordinances relating to the Elkhorn Ridge subdivision on the far eastern edge of Truesdale. Bill 48-2025 deals with the reduction of the letter of credit for the subdivision from $550,000 to $353,157.89 based upon the sale of 68 of the original 190 lots proposed in the subdivision. Bill 53-2025 deals with an ordinance to approve plat six of the subdivision. Bill 52-2025 dealt with the release of escrowed funds for plat two of the subdivision in the amount of $5,368.63.

Another ordinance approved by the board involves a purchase and use agreement with Wright City for the joint purchase and utilization of Magnet Graykey and Axiom digital forensic tools. Truesdale Police Chief Casey Doyle said the department is constantly involved in more electronic related incidents such as child crimes. Doyle said the Graykey device is a small box which allows departments to be able to unlock phones and other devices quickly to assist with investigations. Axiom is a program that would download data obtained through Graykey and help process and analyze the data for law enforcement and prosecutor agencies. Doyle said the devices could also be used to geolocate phones. He said partnering with Wright City helps with the cost which is $30,000. Doyle said the Truesdale portion of the cost would be $10,931. The device would be secured in Wright City, according to Doyle.
The board also approved an ordinance dealing with snow emergencies. The ordinance would ban parking on any city street whenever there is any accumulation of snow, ice, sleet or other frozen precipitation without the need for a formal declaration. The ordinance allows the towing of vehicles by the police department that are in violation of the ordinance, however Doyle said his department would try to work with residents to move vehicles first before towing them.
A final ordinance dealt with Boone’s Hollow Estates and restricts parking on the south side of the street in the subdivision. It also limits motor vehicles to a weight of 18,000 pounds in the subdivision and does not allow construction trailers in the subdivision after normal business hours.
