The Truesdale Board of Aldermen unanimously approved two business licenses and a business license modification during their Jan. 14 meeting.
The board voted 3-0, with one member absent, the business license for Wholesale Produce Supply, a company headquartered in Minneapolis, Minn. Wholesale Produce Vice-President of Finance Dan O’Connell told the board that the company has a lot of customers in the area between St. Louis and Kansas City and their goal is to establish a warehouse in Truesdale in the former Hayes Food System’s building on Spoede Lane. He said the facility will store fruits and vegetables, which will be shipped out to retail chains such as grocery stores and other food service related vendors. He said shipments will be sent to areas within 200 to 300 miles of Truesdale. Operations are planned to begin by Feb. 2.
The board also voted 3-0 in favor of a modification of Wildly WOW Candy’s current business license, which currently allows the company to sell freeze dried candy. The approved change would modify the license to allow the company to provide carry-out and catering sandwiches. Wildly WOW is located at 1032 E State Highway M.
The board also voted 3-0 to approve a license for a new business, TSL Plumbing, which will provide general plumbing services in the community.

Doyle said the department’s F-150 would be the vehicle utilized by the SRO.
The board also unanimously approved an ordinance authorizing the release of escrow for the Charlestowne Crossing subdivision for Plat 3 in the amount of $59,504.86.
