A 47-year-old Maryland Heights resident faces five criminal drug charges stemming from a routine traffic stop.Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper Catherine Bishop stopped Aimee Nicole Guinn after allegedly clocking her going 60 miles per hour in a 45 mile zone near Aldi’s in Warrenton on Highway 47.According to her probable cause statement, Bishop said she noticed Guinn making movements that led her to believe Guinn was attempting to hide something. After Guinn consented to a search, Bishop found two small plastic bags, one filled with a white powder and the other with a clear crystal substance. She also found a hollowed out pen and a metal spoon, both having a distinctive residue. The spoon tested positive for methamphetamine after Bishop administered a field test and sent the baggies to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for further testing.Guinn was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and two separate citations for owning and operating an unregistered vehicle.Crime
