Traffic stop leads to seizure of cocaine

A traffic stop on Interstate 70 led to the seizure of cocaine worth an estimated $6,800, according to Wright City police.Two men from St. Louis, ages 47 and 44, were arrested Nov. 15 after a traffic complaint was received by police.An officer observed the driver swerving on I-70 and conducted a stop. The 47-year-old driver was taken into custody once it was learned he had a suspended license.During a search of the vehicle, a jar was located which contained numerous bags of cocaine that were allegedly packaged for distribution, authorities reported.Charges are pending against both suspects.
