Cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana were found in a vehicle stopped for going 91 mph on Interstate 70 through Foristell early Thursday, Aug. 31, according to police.Three people from Kansas City, Kan., inside the vehicle were arrested on multiple charges of delivery of a controlled substance. The driver was identified as Marc C. Reed, 22. The two passengers in the vehicle were Arleth S. Gallagoscano, 19, and Eric Duarte-Sotelo, 22.Duarte-Sotelo claimed ownership of a handgun that was also found in the vehicle, according to Foristell police. He is being charged with unlawful use of a weapon because it is a felony to possess a firearm while in possession of illegal narcotics.Foristell Police Chief Doug Johnson said the Glock handgun found in the vehicle was loaded with an extended-capacity magazine and had a round in the chamber when it was seized by officers. The three suspects were eastbound in a Chevrolet Impala when they were stopped in Foristell around 3 a.m., authorities said. The officer conducting the traffic stop reportedly detected “an overwhelming odor of marijuana,” leading to a search of the vehicle.Officers found 15 grams of cocaine and 28 grams of methamphetamine, along with a digital scale and a metal grinder, according to the Foristell police report. The paraphernalia and the amount of drugs seized is consistent with the processing and distribution of controlled substances, authorities said. The two delivery of a controlled substance charges against each individual are Class C felonies with a possible sentence of three to 10 years in prison. Unlawful possession of a weapon is a Class E felony with a maximum sentence of four years in prison. The three suspects are being held at the Warren County Jail. Reed and Gallagoscano are being held on $20,000 bonds; Duarte-Sotelo is being held on a $30,000 bond. They had arraignments scheduled for Sept. 6 at the Warren County Circuit Court.
